Yahoo Pipes has led to some interesting web mashups since its [release a while back][3] and yesterday the Webware blog published a nice guide detailing how to translate foreign language RSS feeds using Yahoo Pipes and Babel Fish. Webware has the [full details][1], but the technique is fairly simple -- grab the source feed and use the Babelfish module to run the feed through and translate it to your native language. Then just pipe out the results and subscribe in your favorite reader. Naturally Babelfish is far from perfect so you're likely to end up with some mangled sentences, but at least you can get the gist of foreign language feeds.
