dialogue for bed sitting scene (just prior to letter rearranging)

c: you know you spend more time in the kitchen than most women, you might as well be pregnant
J: ya and those clogs you guys where mean you're basically barefoot
S: your point being
J: you'd make a good wife
C: does it have to be like that?
J: course all the great chefs are men
C: oh god.
J:what? they are
C: See? Christ. Men are pathetic. You force women to be these domestic servants fot god know how long then just to prove you could do it better, you create this elitist snobbery around the very same thing when you do it.
J: of course. of course. we know it should all be equal
yada yada yada we;ve heard this one before.
S: have we?
J in essense yes. very familiar pattern here
S: patterns are misleading. a lot of people seem to think they indicate order, but they don't necessarily. they only indicate patterns.
J: patterns within disorder immplies a kind of order
S: no. patterns imply something outside the disorder is trying to make sense of it. It doesn't have anything to do with order or meaning in disorder. It has to do with us. not the other.
C: that's the whole point of this little exercise Jimmy. the fact that where one person can find the pattern 'jesus is the reason for the season' another person finds 'season the reason. bake for twenty minutes'
