Warren E. Saul: 1978
Westminster 2, after Monet (Colored Pencil, 8x10) |
Westminster 2 |
The Thames at Westminster, after Claude Monet, 1840–1926 Colored pencil and/or crayon by Warren E. Saul (1978) This is a quick test sketch for an oil painting my father planned to do, probably for his sister, my aunt Ruth. The artist's note reads, "I may do a painting using mostly cool colors." This is quite a departure from the 1871 Monet original. Images and text copyright 2002 Andrew W. Saul. All rights reserved. Reproduction or reuse is prohibited without advance written permission.
