The Thames at Westminster, after Claude Monet, 1840–1926
Colored pencil and/or crayon by Warren E. Saul (1978)

This is a quick test sketch for an oil painting my father planned to do, probably for his sister, my aunt Ruth. The artist's note reads, "I may do a painting using mostly cool colors." This is quite a departure from the 1871 Monet original.
