+The rangefinder-style layout adds some retro appeal, but aside from the eye piece being on the far left there is no functional difference between the GX8 and, well, any of Panasonic's SLR models. I went in thinking the rangefinder-style design was a bit gimmicky and came out something of a convert, but then I shoot using my right eye, which allows me to keep my left eye on the scene. If you're a left eye shooter the rangefinder design introduces a bunch of complications.
