snow blew over my tree it swirled around the spruce and settled on the ground. I knew it would come, in the way the trees lost there leaves and how much colder it got. I was in a large spruce forest somewere in the montains(I do not know what montai-
ns). i left my aunt and uncle who had seven kids already to live in the woods. after i took a train to a small town. i hitched a
ride on a truck and told the driver to leave me on the side of the road.i started though woods.i found a large raspberry patch.
grabing a leaf i tied some of the berries in it. and so i kept walking. it must of been at least six or seven miles before
i saw a stream. i ate my raspberries and had some water. i caught a crayfish and rapped in a leaf, suffed it in my pocket and
started of again. it was nightfall when i found a small clearing in the woods, so i set up a camp agnst a tree and went to bed.
the next mourning i decided to fish, so i found a large branch and tied some rope i brought with me to it, i wittled a hook out of
a stick, tied to my line and cast it in. after two hours of waiting i gave up and went to find some food, i woundered around until
i found a tree with a beehive in it,i grabed two sticks and stuck them in wiggleing them around until i broke a piece of and ran
the bees chased me i darted around a tree, i had lost them. and that is when i remembered the crayfish in my pocket, i laughed
i could of eaten it and not been chased by bees but now i had honey, so i had honey and crayfish for breakfast.i went back to
the hive, the bees where back, i picked the sticks i had used, and broke of another piece, put it in a can i found and ran. i dove
a stream so the bees could not find me. once they had gone i got out, dryed off and looked at my prize, a large honeycomb.i
decided to use it sparingly for it was the only food i had right now. back at camp i took done my lean-to and started walking.
until i came upon a large maple in the middle of a spruce forest. i remembered what my uncle had done to make a drum for
my cosins, he took a stump and burned out the middle then stereched deer hide over it. so i started diging. it was rotten which
made it easier, then i lit a fire in the tree, burning it until i could stand, then i lit a torch and burned small shelfs into it. i was
done. but then remembering that i needed somewere to sleep, so i set to work again.

finding wood for a bed was harder then i thought, the fact that i had no axe was the problem, so i went to find something make
one. i found a rock and started sharpening it then pulled a vine of a tree, then i grabed a stick and tied the rock to the stick this
was my axe. i choped down a small spruce and cut it into four planks then i wittled holes and stuck dowels in it, the frame was
done, but i needed a mattress so i gathered moss. then i had an idea, i saw a town before i found my tree, i guessed it was
about two miles from here, so i set of . when i reached the town, i counted my money it would cost me all i had to buy sheets
and a quilt. i went into a shop a selected what i wanted payed and left. after i made my new bed i went to find food. as i
searched i had the idea to make pancakes, but how? *there was a libary in town* i thought, so i walked to town to get a libary
card. what's the name? asked the libarian, "royal" i said, "here's your card", she handed me a flat little card, i took it.
when i got back to my tree i started searching for a chestnut tree. it was very hard
